HAWAII

Emily went to Hawaii for a conference and took in the sights while she was there. It was beautiful! The hotel was at a resort which provided a great scene for photographs.

We met a couple friends in San Francisco for the Escape from Alcatraz race and sight-seeing.

The Jones parents came to visit and we toured the San Diego Zoo and Cabrillo, a park here in San Diego.

Thanksgiving in Winston

We visited family in Winston-Salem for Thanksgiving this year and the family participated in a 5K the morning of Thanksgiving. Gotta burn some calories before we pig out!!

Our First Visitor

For my 30th birthday, Greg surprised me by flying Elizabeth out for the weekend! I had no idea and was completely surprised and delighted! He also signed us up to participate in the Great Urban Race, a scavenger hunt similar to the Amazing Race seen on tv. We spent 3 and ½ hours running, walking, and riding public transportation around San Diego doing various tasks and taking pictures. It was a lot of fun and Elizabeth got to experience the city in a special way! The pictures are posted on the GUR 2009 posting.

Beautiful San Diego

San Diego is such a great place! We've enjoyed going on walks and biking down to the bay, which is about a mile from the apartment. We went riding today and I brought along the camera to share the sights! Although its been warm the last month or so, today the temperature was in the low 70s and sunny - couldn't ask for much better!!

This memorial is located near a place called Sea Port Village. Greg was chosen to pose for the statue on the right while he was in the navy...
